Sheffield United have been awarded the Performance of the Week award following our victory over rivals Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.
The League Managers’ Association present the award to the side they felt put in the best performance on an individual matchday and the decision is taken by a five man panel that is comprised of LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry.
Having met this week to discuss recent games, the panel picked the four two victory out as their stand out performance.
Manager Chris Wilder will receive a celebratory bottle of champagne and an LG Performance of the Week trophy.
