A look at how United’s International partners performed over the weekend:

Ferencvaros:

After an impressive result in the week, Fradi slipped to their second defeat of the season in the top flight. New signing Denes Rosa (previously of Wolves and Hibernian) got on the scoresheet, along with Joaquin Martinez, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a 3-2 scoreline against Vasas.

Blades Watch: Last week’s goal hero Sam Wedgbury played a full 90 minutes in the game.

Chengdu:

Chengdu Blades scored an impressive victory over fourth placed Changchun, thanks to a penalty by Australian Brendon Santalab. Brazilian Rodrigues had opened the scoring, but they were pegged back in the second half.

Blades Watch: Ex Blade Sun Jihai played another 90 minutes for the Blades on his return to China.

Central Coast Marriners:

Adam Kwasnik missed a penalty as the Marriners were helf to a 0-0 draw by Sydney FC at the Bluetongue stadium.



Blades Watch: Nicky Travis, who joined from the Blades last month was unused sub, as was Andrew Redmayne who featured in United’s pre season game against Sheffield FC.
