The Blades Are Back After 12 Year Absence – Now The Celebrations Can Begin

|

With Sheffield United taking a significant automatic promotion advantage over Leeds United in recent matches as they slipped up and fell to back to back defeats, victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday effectively confirmed we would go up to the Premier League in second spot at least.

Sunday’s Championship clash had Leeds host Aston Villa, and as both sides played out a fiery 1-1 draw on the day, that result 100% confirmed manager Chris Wilder could celebrate automatic promotion to cap off what has been another fine season under his charge.

We’ll have to see what the final game brings in terms of Norwich City and a potential title, but who wouldn’t have taken 2nd place at the beginning of the year.

We’ll undoubtedly look to end the campaign on a high with the game against Stoke City next weekend but then preparations can truly begin for a big summer ahead as we return to the top flight.
