The situation surrounding Dean Henderson and his future at Old Trafford or Bramall Lane is still a long way from resolved, something which might have played a part in Sheffield United’s decision to up their bid of Trabzonspor goalkeeper Uğurcan Cakir, just in case things didn’t quite go in our favour.
Speaking this week on the situation, Blades boss Chris Wilder gave his view on the matter, and made it absolutely clear where he wants to see Henderson end up next season, but admitted that it is very much out of his and Sheffield United’s hands.
“Dean and Manchester United know our views on that. It’s their decision and the boys decision, but we’d love to extend that for another season.”
