It’s a break from the league 1 for Sheffield United to begin the New Year with us in FA Cup action this weekend.
Upsets are something that we’ve caused in the FA Cup, and League Cup, several times in the past year or so and have in the League Cup this season – Sheffield United look to cause one against QPR at Loftus Road on Sunday.
QPR are expected to ‘rest’ the likes of Rob Green, Richard Dunne, Joey Barton and Clint Hill with injuries keeping out Sandro and Alejandro Faurlin (both knee) with Suk-Young and Adel Taarabt missing too.
We’ve got James Wallace (groin and hamstring) back into contention but Chris Basham (suspension) missing out after his sending off on Boxing Day against Port Vale.
Chris O’Grady and Paddy McCarthy are back with Brighton and Crystal Palace respectively after their loans ended.
