Earlier this afternoon Sheffield United confirmed that we had struck agreement with Everton for talented youngster Kieran Dowell.
The 21-year-old England youth international has only made two appearances for Toffees gaffer Marco Silva so far in the 2018/19 campaign, but Blades fans should remember him well from a loan spell he had last season with fellow Championship side Nottingham Forest.
In 36 starting appearances and seven substitute showings, he contributed ten goals and if he can recapture that form, he’ll certainly be an asset for manager Chris Wilder as we look to continue fighting for promotion at the top of the second tier table.
He joins on a loan spell which will expire come the end of the current campaign.

He’ll be ours officially for the season on January 2 and you don’t need to search far on social media to see that fans are welcoming him with open arms given what he’s already shown he’s capable of on the pitch.
Very pleasing to get the deal announced this early as well as I’d be surprised if there wasn’t quite a bit of interest in him.
