Here we are, one week to go until the season starts up again.
But whilst preparations are taking place on the pitch, there’s still some stuff that needs to be sorted out off it.
According to a report from The Athletic, the Blades are currently in talks to extend the contracts of players such as Phil Jagielka and Leon Clarke, whose deals were set to expire on June 30, with boss Chris Wilder making clear that he envisages no problems. The same goes for the loan stays of Dean Henderson, Panos Retsos and Mo Besic.
This was picked up by @The_Bladesman who put the news out to Blades fans on social media and the main emotion from the whole thing seemed to be confusion and surprise, especially when it came to Besic, given reports from a few weeks ago (The Sun on Sunday, 31/5/20, via Sheffield United.News) suggesting that he was on his way out of the club.
Thought Besic had already gone back?

May be needed especially if we also progress in the cup. Would have been nice to give him a proper goodbye in front of a crowd though.
