Sheffield United boss Danny Wilson says he is trying to take the pressure of the players as they head into the business end of the season.

Wilson has seen his side get back into the fight for an automatic promotion place with two wins in the last week, this coming after they had failed to win since Boxing Day.

The Blades boss knows the expectations at Bramall Lane and he says he is looking to take the pressure off his players and allow them to go out and express themselves.

Speaking in the Sheffield Star , Wilson said, “We`re approaching things with a slightly different mentality. We`ve thrown the shackles off and are just going to go out there and play because we`ve got the ability to do that.

“Yes, there`s expectation here. So why put more pressure on the players?

“Let`s have a real blast straight from the off. Right from the first minute and see what that brings.”

The Blades welcome Colchester United to Bramall Lane on Saturday as they look to make it three wins in a row for the first time since October.

A win over Colchester would set them up nicely for the trip to Bournemouth the following Saturday. The Cherries moved to the top of League One in midweek with their win at Crewe Alexandra.
