Sheffield United boss David Weir feels his side are lacking a cutting edge in the final third after losing at Bradford.

In a tight game, Bradford won 2-0 thanks to two goals from striker Nahki Wells, he has now scored in eight games in a row for the bantams, and that proved the difference between the two sides.

United strikers Lyle Taylor and Chris Porter are yet to score this season, defender Harry Maguire is the only player to score more than one goal, and Weir admits the difference in the game was in the finishing.

Speaking on Radio Sheffield, Weir said, ‘It was a very, very tight game. We had a few chances early in the game in the first half and didn’t take them.

‘They got their goal and made it difficult for us to get back into it because they could sit back a bit and defend what they had.

‘The difference probably was a bit of quality at the top end of the pitch.

‘I thought it was a good, competitive game and it was always on a knife edge.’

United must now prepare for a tough game against MK Dons at Bramall Lane next Saturday.
