Sheffield United can look forward to two Yorkshire derbies next season after the League Two season finished this afternoon.

Bradford City have joined Rotherham United in winning promotion from League Two after they defeated Northampton Town 3-0 in the play-off final at Wembley.

The last time United met Bradford was at Bramall Lane in November 2011 in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy. After a 1-1 draw, Bradford won 6-5 on penalties.

It will be ten seasons since they last met in the league. United completed the double that season in League One with a 2-0 win at Bramall Lane and a 2-1 win at Valley Parade.

Rotherham had already booked their place in League One after clinching promotion on the final day of the normal league season.

It will be a first competitive trip for United to Rotherham`s New York Stadium. The Blades were one of the first visitors to their new stadium last pre-season when John Cofie scored the only goal of the game in front of over 11,000 fans.

Their last competitive trip to Rotherham was at the Don Valley Stadium in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy in October 2011 when United won 2-1.

They last met in the league in 2004/05 when United drew 2-2 at Millmoor before winning 2-1 at Bramall Lane later in the season.

The League One picture for next season will be completed tomorrow following the play-off final between Brentford and Yeovil Town.
