Sheffield United midfielder Ryan Flynn missed out on the FA Cup player of the third round after being shortlisted for the award.

Flynn was on a shortlist of four players for the award after scoring the winner in the 2-1 win at Aston Villa in the third round.

Nottingham Forest striker Jamie Paterson was a clear winner, claiming 72% of the vote. Paterson netted a hat-trick for Forest in the third round as they hammered Premier League side West Ham United 5-0 at the City Ground.
