Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough was left scratching his head after seeing his side draw 2-2 with Bradford City at Bramall Lane.

United were pegged back after going in at the break two up and Clough felt his side deserved to take three points.

Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield, Clough said, “I am not sure how we haven`t taken the three points. It was a cracking Yorkshire derby and I felt we thoroughly deserved to win the game but unfortunately, a cruel deflection denies us.

“On another day, we could have scored three, four or five goals.”

United looked on course for their first league win of 2014 when Jamie Murphy and then Harry Maguire scored in the first half.

Gary Jones brought Bradford back into the game early in the second half when his long-range effort took a huge deflection to leave George Long stranded and the comeback was completed just past the hour when James Hanson scored from close range.

The blades rallied but could not find a way past the Bradford defence. Despite the disappointment of dropping two points, they climbed above Shrewsbury Town in the table.
