Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough says there is no emergency to go out and sign players.

The blades boss says he is still making plenty of enquiries for players but with the side in good form, he is in no panic to go out and bring players in.

Speaking on BBC Radio Sheffield, Clough said, “No breakthroughs, just a lot of enquiries and we have had a bit of encouragement with one or two.

“It is still early days in the window. We do want two or three new bodies in but we want to make sure they are the right ones for the club.

“They have to better than what we have at the moment or there is no point in bringing them in.

“We have only lost one game in ten so there is no emergency to rush out a sign a player.”

United have announced today the extension of two loans, one in and one out of the club.

Liverpool midfielder Conor Coady will remain at Bramall Lane until February 24th having spent the first half of the season with the club.

Darryl Westlake has extended his loan at Mansfield Town having spent the last month at Field Mill. Westlake will remain with the League Two club until the end of the season.
