SUFC Clough looking to sign two players

Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough says he is still hoping to bring in a midfielder and a striker as he aims to pull away from the relegation zone in League One.

With United still involved in the FA Cup as well as a number of postponements since the turn of the year, United still have eighteen games remaining in League One and Clough says they have enquired about a number of players.

Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield, Clough said, “We have asked about a striker and a midfielder.

“There is one or two that we have asked about who will be cup tied so we will wait until after the weekend.

“We have a cut-off point that is after the cup game this weekend. If they are not going to let them out then we will move on to someone else.

“It is important we do get in one or two before the loan window closes with so many games.”

After the game with Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup this Sunday, United face two games before the end of the month before a hectic March sees them face eight games in twenty-eight days.
