Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough says he is looking to build on the victory at Bristol City on Saturday.

The blades brought to an end eight months without an away win with a 1-0 win at Bristol City and the United boss now wants to see his side go on a run in the division to get out of the bottom four in League One.

Speaking on Radio Sheffield, Clough said, “A magnificent victory, clean sheet and the first away win of the season.

“We have to scrap and fight for everything because we are in the bottom four. We would like to play with a bit more freedom and fluency but at the moment, we have to fight and scrap.

“It would be nice to go on a run, so let`s build on the win.”

The win for United moved them to within two points of those sides currently outside the relegation zone and they will now look to make it back-to-back wins for the first time this season when Walsall visit Bramall Lane on Tuesday night.
