New Sheffield United signing Febian Brandy says he has joined a club going places after turning down offers from championship clubs to sign for David Weir.

Brandy was one of four players brought in by new boss Weir on a busy Tuesday at Bramall Lane.

The 24-year-old, who started his career with Manchester United believes he is signing for a club destined for big things after signing a two-year deal at Bramall Lane.

Speaking on the official website , Brandy said, ‘I had offers for the Championship but this club is going places. I hope this club is destined for big things and I want to be part of it.”

Brandy spent last season at League One rivals Walsall where he enjoyed a productive season scoring seven times in 37 appearances.

The versatile attacking player, who can play on the wing or as a striker has also represented England at five levels from under-16 to under-20.
