Andre Marriner will be the man in charge when Sheffield United and Hull City meet at Wembley on Sunday with a place in the FA Cup final up for grabs.

The West Midlands official has taken charge of 32 games this season showing 97 yellow cards and 12 reds and he made the headlines recently when he sent off Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs wrongly when he should have shown the red card to teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The 43-year-old who has been on the Football League list since 2003 was refereeing in the Premier League in just his second season.

Sheffield United have a shocking record with him in charge having won just one of his previous eleven games in charge. In total, they have won 1, drawn 5 and lost 5.

His first game involving United was in September 2006 when they were beaten 2-1 at home by Reading.

He has already taken charge of United in this seasons competition when he sent off Michael Doyle in the 1-1 draw against Fulham at Bramall Lane.

He has taken charge of Hull on 13 previous occasions with them winning 3, drawing 2 and losing 8.

His first game in charge of the tigers was in May 2008 when they lost 1-0 at Ipswich Town.

He has taken charge of Hull on two occasions already this season with them beating Sunderland 1-0 at home in November before losing 2-0 at Arsenal a month later.

This will be the second time he has taken charge of a game involving the two. In February 2009, he was in charge of a 1-1 draw at Bramall Lane.

Referee: Andre Marriner (West Midlands)
Assistants: Michael Mullarkey & Harry Lennard
Fourth Official: Anthony Taylor
