Steve Simonsen has spelt out his desire to stay with Sheffield United beyond the end of the season.
The keeper’s contract ends in the summer but, as he told BBC Radio Sheffield, he is keen to stay: ‘even though last year was a disappointment I’ve really enjoyed my time here.
‘I’d like to stay because I’ve enjoyed working alongside the manager and the staff that he’s brought in and I’d like to continue those relationships.’
33-year-old Simonson joined The Blades in July 2010 and has made almost 100 appearances for the club so far.
