Sheffield United v Notts County Match Officals


Keith Stroud will be the man in charge of the first game in the Football League this season when he takes charge of the game between Sheffield United and Notts County at Bramall Lane on Friday.

The Hampshire official took charge of 39 games last season, showing 160 yellow cards and 10 reds.

The 43-year-old has taken charge of United on 12 previous occasions, winning five, losing six and drawing one.

His last game involving United was against Friday`s opponents when they won 4-1 at Meadow Lane in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy in October 2012.

He has only taken charge of Notts County on three occasions and apart from the defeat to United, they have won on the other two occasions.
