The kick-off to the 2007-08 season is finally here, as the Blades prepare to take on Colchester United at Bramall Lane.

Colchester have a doubt over new signing Kevin Lisbie who has an ankle injury, but Clive Platt will be available as his suspension doesn’t start till next week. Teddy Sheringham is expected to start on the bench and Kevin Watson is a doubt with an achilles problem.

The former Spurs and England striker may be in his 40’s but class is permanent and the Blades will need to watch the forward closely if he does make an appearance.
