Rob Kozluk and Neil Shipperley could be heading out of Sheffield United once the transfer window re-opens in January.

The experienced duo were circulated by United to potential suitors just before yesterday`s transfer window closed. With manager Neil Warnock presently reluctant to sell any members of his first team squad, Kozluk and Shipperley would most probably have been made available for loan in order for them to receive first team football and regain their match sharpness.

Kozluk, currently United`s longest serving player, has been loaned out by Warnock before and almost joined Preston in 2005. The versatile full-back, who was signed by Steve Bruce from Derby in 1999, has made a total of 197 appearances for the Blades. As Warnock failed to tie up the signature of Tunisian Karim Saidi, and David Unsworth and Chris Armstrong struggle for form, Kozluk`s notable asset of pace could see him force his way back into the side.

Like Kozluk, the evergreen Neil Shipperley has yet to feature for the first team this season. The twin capture of Geoff Horsefield and Ade Akinbiyi appeared to signal the end of Shipperley`s brief stay at Bramall Lane at the turn of the year with Brighton closely monitoring his situation. However, as United`s promotion bid suffered an alarming stutter, Shipperley regained his place alongside Danny Webber in attack, finishing the season as the club`s top scorer with 11 goals.

If United continue to draw a blank upfront, the 31-year-old may be recalled, particularly as Horsefield has been loaned to Leeds and Steven Kabba is currently out injured.
