Nigel Clough knows that ‘individual mistakes’ have cost Sheffield United recently and this ‘must end’ and we’ll look to put our rough patch behind us starting on Saturday against Scunthorpe at Glanford Park – not a happy hunting ground for us though!

Scunthorpe United could have Marcus Williams (hip) back with Neal Bishop (hernia) set to feature despite needing an operation.

No.1 Mark Howard (back) is close to a return but Iain Turner will continue in goal for this one, at least.

Injury will keep out Terry Kennedy (knee) with our defensive options further stretched with Chris Basham (suspension) starting a two-match ban.

Ahead of the game Clough told the BBC.

‘We’ve made too many individual mistakes recently and you can’t keep doing that. The teams that make the least mistakes are the ones that will be the most successful. I think the players expect you to be critical if they make a mistake.

‘Nothing else matters now other than getting promoted. We have 12 league games left and hopefully three play-off matches. It doesn’t matter what went before.

‘It doesn’t matter where you pick your points up. We’ll take them on the road if we have to.’
