Phil Roe becomes the second Sheffield United interest in Retford this week, as he also joins the Evo-Stick strugglers on loan.

Roe, who has featured in the Blades first team in the Carling Cup, and throughout pre-season has been on the periphery of the first-team for over a year, so will use this loan spell to gain some much needed first-team experience.

The young full-back has received rave reviews following his performances in the reserves, and previously the academy league, and will be doing his utmost to aid the cause of everybody’s favourite Evo-Stick side – Retford.

He joins Paul Shaw at the club, who we reported roughly an hour ago, and if that wasn’t good enough reason to travel to Ossett Town this weekend (and the fact they sell parkin in the club cafeteria), then Roe’s addition should certainly add spice.
