But for the sending off against Coventry on Saturday maybe we would have won that game, we reacted well to that draw with another win on Tuesday when we won at Rochdale to make it four wins in the last five.

The two-one win at Spotland revives a glimmer of hope we could secure an automatic promotion place but most importantly gives us a strong position for a play-off place at least!

Vincenti went close, heading a Rose’s freekick over as Rochdale threatened before McNulty (21) curled past Lillis to give us a one-nil lead, which we took into half time.

Another Rose freekick, this time a direct one was deflected and Turner had to deal with this to keep us ahead before a terrible mistake by Rochdale ‘keeper Lillis saw Brayford (61) double our lead just past the hour. His effort ‘squirmed’ from his grasp and into the net.

O’Connell (74) headed home from a Henderson cross to reduce the deficit but we had done enough to run out two-one winners.

Following this game, as is customary of course, attention now turns to the MotM for us – who you think this was?

Select the name that you want from the list in the poll to your right, but why not also share your thoughts with us on your thinking for that person, and this latest game itself, with some views….
