Cresswell (18) put The Blades ahead with Doyle (36) doubling the lead before half-time to leave the hosts in control.
Strikes early and late in the second half from Williamson (48 & 87) secured a comfortable 4-0 win for Sheffield United to see them overtake bitter rivals Sheffield Wednesday to move into second behind leaders Charlton.
