Young Sheffield United striker Diego De Girolamo is being linked with a host of Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.

The 18-year-old could make his return to the blades squad against Bradford City on Saturday after ten-months out with a cruciate knee ligament injury he sustained whilst away on international duty with the Italian under-18 side.

De Girolamo, who was born in Chesterfield as an Italian father, and he turned down the opportunity to represent England in favour of Italy when he was called up for the first time in January 2013.

The blades academy product played in the Granatkin Memorial Cup in Russia, making five appearances in the tournament and scoring in both the games he started. He was called into the squad again for the game with Austria in March and he had already scored in the game when he sustained the knee injury that has kept him on the sidelines until recently.

He returned to competitive action for the blades under-18`s on Monday against Coventry City and he scored twice in the opening 25 minutes of the 4-1 win before being replaced at half time.

He made three substitute appearances for the blades last season after making his debut in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy at Coventry City in December 2012.
