Lots of Blades fans have been left in awe over some footage of a game from a number of years ago that starred a couple of familiar faces.
So the throwbacks just keep on coming, and this time they’ve dived a little further back into the archives.
Yesterday marked the four-year anniversary of a very good performance that the Blades managed to put in during our days in League One. It was on the 2nd April in 2016 that we dispatched of Walsall 2-0 at Bramall Lane, with both goals coming from players who managed to stick with us all the way from those days and into the Premier League, Chris Basham and captain Billy Sharp.
And although that season might not have been as memorable as more recent ones given that we finished 11th, it certainly gave us some pretty decent performances, such as the one that Basham and Sharp put on that day and fans didn’t shy away from praising the two for their performances that day.
That connection between bash and Billy. 👏👏👏⚔️⚽️👌👍
