Wes Foderingham 6: Ahmedhodzic helped Wes keep a clean sheet in the second half when an uncharacteristic error, from Foderingham, saw him put his side in danger.
Chris Basham 6: Was quiet in the first half but was switched to the left after the break to add better balance. Basham made an excellent tackle deep in injury time that allowed United to break for the winner.
John Egan 6: Won his duels, got in some crucial blocks at times. Piroe danced around him a few times though and should’ve scored 1 or 2. Progressive passing wasn’t the best.
Anel Ahmedhodzic 6: Probably the least dominant the Bosnian has been. Beaten far too easily when Piroe cut in and curled an effort wide, however, he produced a superb tackle after Foderingham’s poor kick. The tackle allowed United to go and win the game at the death.
George Baldock 6: Good bits of defending. Delivered an excellent cross for McBurnie, who was unable to guide his volley on target in the first half.
Sander Berge 6: Had United’s best chance in the second half arriving on to a Norrington-Davies cross but smashed it over the bar when it was easier to score than miss. Looked lazy in the second half, however.
Oliver Norwood 7: Cleared off the line in the first half from a corner. Kept the ball moving and broke up play all game. Got back well in the second half with Swansea breaking and got in a crucial interception.
Tommy Doyle 6: Tireless worker as always. Got stuck in. Pressed well. Linked play between midfield and attack. Whipped in one or two good corners.
Rhys Norrington-Davies 9: Should have made more of an early chance when he had a free header from a Sander Berge cross. Did just enough to take Sorinola out of his stride when he had a chance at the far post and delivered a superb cross for Berge to attack. Always energetic, moving box-to-box.
Iliman Ndiaye 6: Swansea had done their homework and he was closely marked throughout but still managed to get free on a handful of occasions and find a United man. Worked his socks off, as ever.
Oli McBurnie 6: Had a chance from Baldock’s cross but was at full stretch and couldn’t keep it down. Was his usual handful for the Swansea defence but didn’t have much in the way of chances.
