Always nice to hear what other fans have to say on the matter.
It gives us a little bit of insight into the player we might be getting. If they’re glad to get rid of them for instance, then you kind of wonder if perhaps we’re getting a good player.
Despite reports a few weeks ago that Sheffield United were ‘on the verge’ of completing a £3.5m move for Reading midfielder Jonathan Swift, it appears as though things aren’t going as simply as they could or perhaps should be.
According to a more recent report from talkSPORT, the Blades have had a £4m bid rejected for the 25-year-old. What has caused this latest jump in the narrative is as yet unclear, but it certainly adds a rather unnecessary stumbling block to our plans.
Would Swift be a good signing for us?
Yes
No
Reading fans seemed to take an issue with this, because they looked to be somewhat insulted by the offer, demanding that the club hold out for more, although one or two may be asking for a little too much.
£4m? They want the mud off which bootlace for that?

Just look at some of the players going for silly money at the moment over £10m and from lower league as well, 3 prem clubs after him surely we are talking over £10m

Owners need to learn that a club like Reading has to sell key players. 6 mill + a sell on and we’ll take it

What about you? Do you think Reading fans are asking too much when it comes to Swift?
