Sheffield United say they may need to call for a pitch inspection on Wednesday morning ahead of their game with Brentford.
The rain has continued to batter Britain since the weekend and more is forecast ahead of the game tomorrow night.
The pitch has struggled in recent weeks with all the rain. The FA Cup clash with Fulham last month only just survived a pitch inspection but the game with Peterborough United three days later was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
United say they have been in touch with the Football League and they will make a decision on Wednesday morning whether to call for an inspection.
