Sheffield United made it ten wins in a row in all competitions with a narrow 1-0 home win over Carlisle United.

The blades controlled the first half with Jamie Murphy forcing the Carlisle goalkeeper into a save within 30-seconds of the game starting.

Stefan Scougall twice went close, missing a great chance on one occasion when he found himself one-on-one with the Carlisle goalkeeper.

Baxter opened the scoring just before the half hour when he fired home from inside the area, his seventh goal of the season.

Murphy again went close in the early stages of the second half but as they FA Cup success at the weekend starting to catch up with them, Carlisle threatened an equaliser.
