East Yorkshire side Hull City will host South Yorkshire outfit Sheffield United tomorrow in the SkyBet Championship, kicking off at 3:00 PM.

The match will take place on Sunday, rather than Saturday, owing to the Super League derby between Hull FC and Hull KR, with the match also taking place at the MKM Stadium this afternoon.

With three Championship victories to their name, out of seven league matches played, the Tigers will be looking to get back to winning ways after losing last time out at Queens Park Rangers, who beat Hull 3-1 at Loftus Road last Tuesday night – after they were undone by three first-half goals before former Sheffield United and Barrow striker, Tyler Smith, netted a scant consolation with five minutes remaining.

With no football until tomorrow, the Blades may find their position at the top of the table unhinged and could fall as low as fifth in the table should the neighbouring sides in the table win their matches today.

With a capacity of 24,400, it is anticipated that the crowd will, at least, be in the region of 18,500, for this Yorkshire Derby.

We checked out the Not 606 forum for the views from Hull City supporters whom, after strengthening their side during the summer, seem confident of recording a positive result against the Blades tomorrow;

Tough, tough game. If we don’t battle like hell to win the midfield we are in trouble. Draw would be great.

I’ve broken a habit of a lifetime. I’m going for a City win. Another entertaining 3-2

Bit hard to pick a team for this one, don’t know who’s available, who’s fit enough to start, the new lads won’t even know everyone’s name by Sunday! Still, I’ll go for a 2-1 win. UTT!

I cannot remember a bad game against Sheff Utd, especially at home. Even in the dark days at Boothferry Park the atmosphere was crackling and edgy when we met. It will be no different on Sunday. The last time we met at home they were charging head first to the Premier League and they bullied us all over the pitch. I expect a similar approach from them this time and just hope Shota is aware of that. We have a lot more quality amongst our ranks then we had the last time we met at home, and we have that backs to wall 0-0 draw at Bramall Lane mentality behind us, so no fear here. Big expectant crowd, Sunday afternoon, the city to ourselves, good kick off time, packed away support so the atmosphere and stadium will be bouncing at 3.00 o’clock. If you chose to watch this one in the pub when you can be there then your not really a football fan. Fixtures don’t come much better then this.

Our biggest post-Allam game so far and the big match buzz has started already, not to be missed.
