Consistency is something that Sheff Utd have lacked for large parts of this season but we’ve started to find this, it seems, at about the right time as we seek a third successive win today against Oldham.

The win against Doncaster on Tuesday all but secured our play-off place but we’ll want to take the momentum into this and keep a run going when we head to Boundary Park, facing a side that have literally nothing to play for….

Oldham’s former Blades striker Jonathan Forte (knee) was injured recently and looks ser to miss this one with Anthony Gerrard’ (calf) and George Elokobi (hamstring) doubtful along with Danny Philliskirk, Luke Woodland, Rhys Murphy and Amari Morgan-Smith.

The three-two win over Doncaster came at a price with Bob Harris (groin) injured. Jay McEveley (shoulder) came on for his first involvement since injury and could return to the starting XI.

Jamie Murphy (back) and Terry Kennedy (groin) are doubtful but Stefan Scougall (knee) is again, like McEveley previously, looking for a return to the first-team.

A third successive win in seven-days, and what would be our fifth in our last six-matches would show a good level of consistency at this stage of the season, for what it’s worth, but will we manage this?
