Sheff Utd couldn’t make it three successive wins but we did keep our unbeaten run going, and therefore keep the momentum going forward, as we battled back from two-down to draw at Oldham on Saturday.

At half time we looked defeat and buried but two second half goals earned us a two-two draw at Boundary Park, and we almost won it in the end!

Defensive uncertainty allowed Poleon (22) in and the former Leeds man punished us to give Oldham the lead at the midway point of the first half.

With half time approaching the lead was doubled when Poleon (43) scored again, this time a fine strike from well over 30-yards to leave the midtable side in charge at the break.

Poleon could have wrapped up the points, and completed his hat-trick but this missed chance saw Holt (56) get one back just before the hour, from a similar distance to that the Oldham man had missed from.

From a corner, which was awarded when the referee disagreed with his assistant, who wasn’t giving it, we made it two-two through Murphy (73) and would have won it late on had Doyle’s effort from 20-yards not struck he post!
