With a move for other former Blade James Beattie being swept under the rug somewhat. Former Manchester United academy product Webber has replaced him as a target for Danny Wilson. Although Coy about it in his post match interview last night, Wilson has hinted that a new striker may be brought in within the week. With a severe lack of pace evident in united’s three strikers free agent Webber could provide that different dimension in attack that the Blades have so missed all season.
Webber will most fondly be remembered for the goal he scored at Ninian Park to get the Blades promoted.
