It certainly was one of the biggest bargains that we’ve had in our history.
And given the amount of free agents that we’ve signed in the past, he’s certainly got a lot of competition to live up to. Is he the best? Well I’ll let you decide that one.
Today marks the third anniversary of the day that we signed Enda Stevens on a free transfer after he had left Portsmouth at the end of his contract, and their loss was very much our gain. He’s gone on to make 122 appearances for the Blades since then and had been part of the team that saw us climb from the Championship all the way to 7th in the Premier League.
Is Enda Stevens our best ever free agent signing?
Yes
No
So when the club decided to put out a post commemorating the fact that he’d been with us for that amount of time, it led to some debate about his time with us and just how crucial he has been to our team.
Most improved player I reckon 🙌

The most typical Wilder signing. Unknown by most. Deemed not good enough by previous clubs at this level.
A baller and a half. Wilder knew.#sufc
