French midfielder Lilian Nalis has been allowed to leave Bramall Lane on a free to allow him to complete a move to Plymouth Argyle.
The veteran midfielder was signed from Leicester last summer and was expected to play a key role in United’s promotion push, but has failed to make an impact due to impressive performances from Nick Montgomery and Phil Jagielka.
He was loaned out to Coventry City earlier on in the season where he caught the eye with a couple of goals, but since returning to United it’s been a similar story with Nalis playing in the reserves.
He is expected to complete a free transfer to relegation battlers Plymouth Argyle within the next couple of days.
