It appears Blades striker Christian Nade is staying in Sheffield, for the time being at least.
Nade was on the verge of joining Hull City in a deal reportedly worth around £550,000, but the transfer fell through at the last minute.
The explanation for the turn-around seems unclear, with both Hull and United stating differing reasons.
According to Hull the reason the deal fell through was down to fears over the fitness of the French striker.
However, United’s Football Club Chairman Terry Robinson dismissed these claims and said that Nade turned Hull down himself after the club changed his contract details at the last minute.
Whatever the truth may be, I’m happy with the outcome as, not only is Nade worth keeping at the club, but the £550,000 offer from Hull was far too low in my opinion.
