Sheffield United are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by goalkeeper Simon Moore in the one nil victory over Peterborough United at the weekend at Bramall Lane was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Moore was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘It was a bit of a two-horse race to don our number one jersey this week, but Blades fans and even those of Peterborough United heaped praise on the Sheffield United stopper for his weekend efforts. Moore, who arrived at Bramall Lane last month, made a string of saves to keep out Posh in a 1-0 win – a fourth on the bounce for Chris Wilder’s men.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Moore for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.
