Blades midfielder Nick Montgomery has been rewarded for his impressive performances with a new deal, until 2009.
The energetic midfield man has been on the transfer list all season but Blades boss Neil Warnock hasn’t been worried about that, instead wanting ‘Monty’ to concentrate on playing.
Montgomery has been somewhat of a bit-part player over previous seasons but has been an alomst ever-present this term, and scored his first goal of the season against Stoke City recently.
Neil Warnock said: ‘I am absolutely delighted that Nick has decided that his future lies with us.
‘He has played a major part in what we have achieved so far this season, as he has in previous ones.’
