Nigel Clough didn’t think it was a forgone conclusion that Harry Maguire would leave Bramall Lane when speaking earlier this week, but it looks this move has got a step closer?
The Hull Daily Mail is saying that ‘positive talks’ could result in his arrival at Hull City by Monday.
Rumour has it that talks have continued between both clubs and a fee nearer to the £3m asking price could some be thrashed out with the premier league side paying more than £2m off the bat with add-ons, should he perform at the KC Stadium, taking the deal closer to £3m.
I think we will get a much clearer picture as to what the future will be for Maguire and the Blades in the next 24-hours or so as if he doesn’t feature in the friendly with Burton Albion tomorrow that should speak volumes.
