I’m not sure what to think about the team anymore. I’m a united fan through and through, but two losses and a win in the last three doesn’t make for good reading.

I suppose you could say we don’t score enough, which is certainly true looking at the last few games of scraping through with a one-nil score line, but we were beaten by Bury away, who had shipped nine goals in two games, and now beaten by Rochdale, who were at the wrong end of the table.

I’m probably like every other United fan always thinking we should ace games. Looking at the squad we have (and the talent we have out on loan) I believe we should have got this league wrapped up by now. Obviously not though. I’m wondering whether Adkins was a good choice though. I know Mcabe has backed him to be here for quite some time, which will be depressing for many supporters if he doesn’t get us anywhere, but I also remember Mcabe saying that Clough should be here for ages as well and that didn’t turn out great for Clough.

Even Barnsley, who were shocking not so long ago have gone above us as we’ve slipped to tenth in the league. The downward red arrow on the BBC site in the league table is very depressing to look at!

I’ve looked at the team line-up for this afternoon’s match and the selections there confused me to be honest. JCR and Done should be getting starts. JCR is a very good winger with a lot of pace and skill but the line up looks like NA is experimenting still with the players we have. I think there’s too much talent gone out on loan as well, the likes of Harris, Freeman, and McNulty are all out at other clubs, with Portsmouth looking like our B-team at the moment!

There’s been talk of money being available as well. I’ve seen this under Clough and his predecessor who both didn’t want to spend. Looks like Adkins doesn’t want to either. Best we keep hold of our talent at the end of this season as well, it looks from where I’m sitting that we are destined for another battle next season in League One.

I’ll still be there though, on the Kop or following from sea…..

As always…. UTB!!!
