Lots of Blades fans have been talking about the future of their on loan star Dean Henderson.
With plenty of speculation surrounding where he’s going to be playing next season, with both the club captain Billy Sharp and boss Chris Wilder both giving their two-penneth on the matter, now it’s time to see what the fans make of the whole affair.
According to a recent story on ESPN, given Manchester United’s decision to grant a contract extension to Lee Grant, and the club looking unlikely to sell David De Gea, it is highly likely that Henderson will be making his way to Bramall Lane again in 2020/21, but only on a loan basis as they still have plans for him in the future.
Will the Blades be able to keep hold of Henderson in the summer?
Yes
No
This would be the third time that the 23-year-old would have been with the Blades on loan, having initially signed in the summer of 2018, and plenty of Blades fans have been discussing the prospect of bringing him across the Pennines yet again without it being a permanent move.
Great if true

I said before this season we need to have a long term plan for the GK position, Henderson has always said he wants to be Man Utd No.1, I’m really pleased we have him as he is a great keeper but what happens when he goes back to Man Utd?? If Verrips isn’t the future let’s get one

If we get him next season it would have more or less have been like permanent signing anyway to have him for 3 seasons is fantastic

Much as I love Henderson. Wouldn’t we be better getting a permanent replacement. I know I am probably in the minority here but we should accept that his future is at Old Trafford!

I think another season certainly benefits us he can come abroad with us and bring a cup home! 🙊🏆
But I agree a longer term plan is needed and im sure Sir Chris has it in hand.
