Harrison McGahey has, with it confirmed on the official website today, left Sheffield United for a loan spell away from Bramall Lane.
Nigel Clough secured the services of the highly rated defender from Blackpool in the summer, having been a regular in the first half of the season he’s struggled since Christmas so has gone out to Tranmere where he’ll end the season.
It’s easy to forget that McGahey is only 19-years-old so he has plenty of time ahead of him, but his development would be best suited with first-team football – with him not a regular since December, having made 22-appearances before that, it makes sense that he spend some time with Tranmere albeit a drop down a division.
McGahey will come back stronger, and better, for this spell I’m sure.
