Glen Little, released by Sheffield United at the end of the season has joined League 2 Aldershot on a one-year deal.

The winger, suffered a frustrating season at Bramall Lane, and was hampered by a number of niggling injuries inbetween some fine performances after his free transfer last summer.

Now Little, 34, has agreed to link up with the Shots in the hope of a successful season in League 2. Kevin Dillon’s men had an excellent campaign last year, which saw them reach the play-off semi-finals against all expectation despite the loss of manager Gary Waddock.

Former Reading man Dillon came in, and proved a deciding factor in Little’s move.

i>’I live locally and originally came down to train with Dill (Kevin Dillon) who I knew well from my time at Reading.

‘Dill was a massive factor in me joining the club and I am really looking forward to the challenge.

‘There are not too many experienced players here and if I can help give the younger lads some advice and use my own experience then I will be happy to do that.’
