Let`s get back on track

I`m back on the Kop tomorrow evening for the game against Birmingham, it`ll be my last game before I head off to deployment again. Gutted I`m missing most of the season and trying to work out whether I`ll be back in time for the end of the season!

I`m hoping tomorrow`s game will not give me a heart attack before I go away! After Tuesday`s match I`ve no nails left and only stumps where my fingers used to have been. I hope we get a comfortable win tomorrow. Birmingham have lost three of their last four outings so hopefully we can take advantage of that. We need the three points to re-close the gap between us in third place and Wolves at the top. Cardiff have jumped a point ahead of us, so hopefully we can knock them back down the table a bit!

There seems to be a few injuries which both clubs are waiting on for tomorrow. Duffy took a knock apparently on Tuesday, and Baldock might be fit again to get himself back in the side. Birmingham have a couple of players being assessed, Che Adams being one of them. I`m hoping he`ll be out for the game – we don`t want him to try and get one over on us as his previous employers!

I`m just wondering whether we`ll have any changes after Tuesday`s defeat, I`d like to see Simon Moore back in net, and maybe Carruthers getting a start after his goal in the week.

At least I won`t have to rush about tomorrow though, my lad`s team, Chesterfield Junior Blues U16s are at home against Skegby tomorrow morning, so I`ve got plenty of time, enough for a bacon sarnie as well, before I have to drive into Sheffield and get parked up.

Anyway, I`m sure we`ll get a huge attendance again tomorrow, Birmingham have sold out their allocation, so it should be a great atmosphere at the Lane again. We`ll be there, the twelfth man getting behind the lads.

UTB!!
