Sheffield United left it late as they secured three points at Port Vale.

The home side looked to be heading for three points when Louis Dodds put them ahead six minutes into the second half.

Jamie Murphy equalised for the blades with seven minutes remaining and not for the first time this season, Chris Porter came off the bench to score the winner in the final minute of the game.

Vale were almost ahead inside five minutes when Chris Lines saw his shot come back off a post whilst the best chance of the first half for United fell to John Brayford but he failed to keep his effort down.

Dodds opened the scoring for Vale when he kept his cool to slot past Mark Howard as United conceded on their travels for only the second game in their last ten on the road.

Jose Baxter almost levelled for United only to be denied by a good save Sam Johnson in the Vale goal.

Murphy levelled for United before Porter netted the winner in injury time, as he beat Johnson with a left foot shot for his ninth goal of the season.
