Sheffield United defender Rob Kozluk has signed a one-year extension to his contract, keeping him at Bramall Lane until 2007.

Kozluk, who is United’s current longest-serving player, was brought in 1999 as part of the deal which saw United favourite Vas Borbokis move to Derby County. The spikey-haired defender is not currently in the side due to the form of Derek Geary, but it’s fairly obvious Blades boss Neil Warnock appreciates Kozluk’s qualities.

‘Everyone knows how highly I rate him and not only that, he’s a great lad to have around the place. You can’t over emphasise the importance of that.’

‘It’s good to get this all done and dusted. Rob’s deal was up in the summer and so we’ve been looking to get something done.’ Warnock told the media.
