Blades defenders Rob Kozluk and Alan Wright are expected to put pen to paper on new Bramall Lane contracts.
Both players are currently tied down to the end of the season but manager Neil Warnock is keen to tie both down to extended deals.
‘We need the Derek Gearys, the Kozluks and the Alan Wrights etc to build a squad. and they want to be a part of it. I’ll be talking to Koz and one or two others whose contracts are coming to an end and feel like they need a bit of security.’ Warnock told the Sheffield Star.
Warnock has also confirmed that it doesn’t worry him that Kozluk and Nick Montgomery are STILL on the transfer list, saying: ‘It doesn’t bother me that any of the players are on the transfer list. Monty seems to go on the list unofficially every summer when I sign another midfielder! I tell him that he’ll be playing about 35 matches and he can go on the list if he wants but he knows there is always a place for him here.’
