Sheffield United’s assistant manager, Stuart McCall was in the hot seat for the pre-match press conference this week, ahead of the trip to Preston North End on Saturday.

The Blades assistant revealed that United could have a key player back after the upcoming international break.

Saturday’s game against Preston North End will be the last time United play until October 1st.

Stuart McCall said to the press:

“Jayden Bogle has been training with us today so hopefully he’ll get a good week behind him and be back in and around it (after the internationals).”

This is terrific news as Jayden Bogle is one of the best wingbacks in the Championship, arguably the best. He will have to fight his way back into the team though because George Baldock, although his attacking output isn’t of the same quality as Bogle’s, he hasn’t put a foot wrong yet this season.

There could be an opportunity for game time with the development squad, Sheffield United u21’s face Sheffield Wednesday u21’s on the 1st of October, perhaps 45 minutes in this game can help the right-wingback in getting closer to match fitness.

In other news, Ciaran Clark has suffered a setback on his quest to get back fit, he is now said to be out for around another month.
